Gallery > Cain's Jawbone

A series of 12 mixed media works, each collaged on pages of a Cain’s Jawbone, a non-linear murder mystery from the 1930’s that is nearly impossible to solve. Together the pieces form a portrait of a particular point in time from early 2023.

I collaged the leftover bits of stencils and matrices that I created for a large monoprinting project earlier this year onto canvas covered in pages of the Cain's Jawbone murder mystery, which were already painted. I work intuitively and the shapes and forms that emerge speak to the subject at hand in new and insightful ways.
